TOOSH Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • All prices exclude VAT.

  • A handling fee of 20% will be charged for all returned orders (This excludes sample chairs).

  • Cancellation of order can only made 48 hours after placing the order. The handling fee will apply after this period.

  • Please note: Only undamaged items will be considered.

  • Deliveries are made to the ground floor, unless prior arrangements have been made.

  • Client is to specify if they require unwrapping and installation/assembly- this will quoted on as a separate line item.

  • Where items delivered are assembled or installed by a third party, Toosh Seating will not be held liable for any damages incurred by third party assembly and/or installation.

  • All goods need to be inspected and signed for by a responsible person.

  • Toosh Seating quotes on and includes delivery in the total price.

  • Delivery outside of Gauteng is charged at approximately 6% of the order excluding fabric. Delivery outside of South African borders is quoted for separately.

  • Where delivery takes place outside of South African borders, transport and border duties are to be directly arranged between client and freight company- we can refer you to some companies we have used. Toosh Seating cannot be held liable for any faults or damages once the shipment has left South African borders. We will inspect the full order before dispatch but recommend and encourage the client to do a full inspection in South Africa prior to dispatch.

  • For shipments outside of South African borders, please keep in mind additional cost of crating and packaging for safe transport.

  • Our guarantee covers workmanship and components only.

  • This guarantee excludes abuse and normal wear and tear

  • Chairs used 5 days a week, 9 hours a day is considered "normal use".

  • Chairs are guaranteed on the basis that we reserve the right to firstly repair faulty items and secondly replace.

  • Chairs are guaranteed for normal individual weight of 110kg.

  • Our guarantee is a "Back to Base" guarantee, meaning all costs for returning the product to either place of purchase (our customer) or Toosh premises are the responsibility of the purchaser (our customer). This clause applies to an ordinary return and not a factory fault repair or return.

  • It is the responsibility of the customer to do general maintenance of chairs ie: tightening of screws.

  • It is assumed items supplied will be installed on a reasonably level surface. Any items that are installed on rough or uneven surfaces- ie cobblestones, will not be guaranteed in terms of damage to legs and chair or table frames.

  • Most items supplied by Toosh Seating have a guarantee label installed on the product. If the label is removed, all guarantees are null and void.

  • Any modifications made to items changing the state, design or overall look they were supplied in will void any guarantee the item carries. 

  • The guarantee of fabric/Leather is held by the manufacturer and not by Toosh Seating.

  • Cancellations after 3 days from placement of order will not be accepted. Cancellations Must Be Faxed OR Emailed

  • Lead times stipulated in the quote are from receipt of fabric by the supplier. We allow 36 hours lead time on delivery of fabric to suppliers.

  • Toosh Seating reserves the right to change, improve or discontinue any products without prior notice.

  • Any glass supplied by Toosh Seating carries no guarantees or return policy once installed.

  • Any existing chairs that are refurbished by Toosh Seating carry no guarantees or return policy.

  • When ordering timber solid furniture, cracks and knots in the timber are deemed to be part of the character. It is standard procedure to fill these with wood filler, or drill large knots out and fill with a smooth solid. These characteristics are not deemed as snag items.

  • We encourage ordering a sample chair in the case of large volume orders of one item for prior sign off before placing the full order.

  • Where an item received is deemed to be faulty we allow a 24 working hour (3 business days) turnaround time for the relevant representative to perform an inspection. This representative may not be from Toosh Seating but directly from the manufacturer.

  • A call out fee may be charged based on the item deemed faulty, being through no fault of Toosh Seating or the supplier.

  • No delivery will be made without full balance payment being made and cleared 48 hours prior to the delivery date.

  • Toosh Seating shall not be liable for loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, incidental or consequential damages. Toosh Seating will not be liable for any loss or damage (including costs) however caused, whether direct or consequential, incurred or suffered by the purchaser or any third party in respect of the products; but nothing contained herein will or will not be considered to exclude or restrict any liability on Toosh Seating’s part for death or personal injury resulting from negligence.

 

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

General cleaning of furniture comprising these materials:

  • Polypropylene, Polyethylene & Nylon

  • Laminates, HPL & Melawood

  • Epoxy coating, Chrome, Stainless steel & Aluminium

  • Timber finishes sealed with solvent based lacquers including Polyurethane, AC, Polyacrethane etc

Clean with a mild detergent which must be non-abrasive. Examples of suitable detergents include diluted dishwashing liquid and diluted Kleen Green which can be used for routine cleaning of all items including chairs, table tops and table bases.

Rinse or wipe off with a cloth dampened with water afterwards, then dry. Under no circumstances should joins, joints or edgings etc be flooded with water.

This basic principle in cleaning should always be followed:

Start with the mildest or most diluted detergent and only if the desired results are not achieved, then work up to stronger concentration.

In the case of stubborn stains especially those embedded into textured surfaces, a scrubbing brush with stiff plastic bristles can be used. Under no circumstances should abrasive or scouring materials or equipment be used. Mineral Turpentine could also be useful in removing stubborn oil-based or sticky stains. Wipe lightly with minimal pressure and test a small area first.

 

 

Specific cleaning of Timber finishes treated with Rubio Monocoat® or Jaxoleum:

The Rubio Monocoat oil finish should be lightly wiped when necessary with a cloth slightly dampened with clean water only. Under no circumstances should any commercial cleaning agents be used on the surface.

In event of deep cleaning being required or stubborn dirt not removeable with wiping with a damp cloth, the following Rubio cleaning products should be used:

• RMC SURFACE CARE is a ready to use product in a trigger spray bottle, or

• RMC SOAP is a concentrated version and therefore more economical to use

Upholstery fabrics

Upholstery fabrics should be cleaned according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Maintenance & Ongoing Care

Under no circumstances should furniture designed for indoor use be used in outdoor applications or exposed to prolonged periods of direct sunlight.

All ferrules, plugs, glides and other fittings found in the bottom of chair legs or table bases should be routinely checked, especially when the furniture is used on rough floor surfaces. Damaged or missing ferrules, plugs or glides should be replaced immediately to prevent damage.

In the case of table bases fitted with adjustable threaded glides, the glides should always be kept fully threaded in as far as possible and only one glide should be unthreaded only as much as necessary to level the base. Glides which are continually unthreaded will eventually fall out and could become lost.

Tables should never be stored face to face without some protective layer (fabric, cardboard etc) in between the tops.

Outdoor tables should never be stored upside down in order to prevent the accumulation of water in the recess on the underside of the top.

Please enquire regarding specialized cleaning and deep-cleaning of chairs or table tops which have been exposed to prolonged outdoor conditions including build-up of oxidization and traffic pollution etc
